Delta Force escapees report themselves to police

The 13 Delta Force members who escaped from a Kumasi Circuit Court yesterday April 6 2017 after mayhem arose, have reported themselves to Police and are presently in custody.

According to a statement from the Ashanti Regional Police command, The 13 escaped after some members of the Delta Force dazed police at the Kumasi Circuit Court on Thursday April 6 2017 during their hearing.

The 13 Delta Force members were facing charges for causing disturbances at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.

Some members of the New Patriotic Party-affiliated vigilante group, Delta Force yesterday April 6, stormed and vandalised some court property, and almost assaulted the Judge, Her Lordship Mary Senkyere.

The judge had ruled that the 13 be remanded to reappear before the court on the 20th of April, 2017 after charges of conspiracy to assault a public officer and causing unlawful damage.

Following the mayhem at the court, Police eight persons who assisted the escape of 13 Delta Force members who were remanded by a Circuit court in the Ashanti Region
