The General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong has charged electoral officers tasked to perform duties during the impending election period to do so bearing in mind they can derail the peace should they fail.

He stated, such officers should be made to take oaths before being commissioned and made to pay fines should they be found to have been negligent.

According to Dr. Opuni-Frimpong, the nationwide Christian Council of 31 church denominations is committed to work so no bloodshed event is recorded during and after the polls.
