If one thinks the collapse of UT and Capital Banks was not only unexpected and dramatic, then one of the two banks being paraded through the street of Jamestown may be traumatizing, especially for workers of the two banks who may soon be asked to go home.
At the just ended Chale Wote street festival, two Ghanaian artists decided to give the public an insight into the embarrassing situation the banks find themselves.
Shirtless and with heavy metal chains around their necks, they walked through the thick crowd of patrons who had come to observe various works at the festival.Â
GCB bank, who had a gun in hand, dragged a wailing UT and will occasionally stop for pictures and questions. It was hilarious but offers a serious insight into the tumultuous nature of the two banks and the possible bleak future which await some of the workers.
