The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) School of Ordinance has graduated 136 students from the first half courses for 2023 Storeman Ordinance and General Duties BII as well as tailors and Leatherworks BII courses on Friday, July 7, 2023 after 24 weeks of intensive academic training.

The Commanding Officer (CO), School of Ordinance, Lieutenant Colonel Edna Kyerewa Antwi in her address stated that the course was designed to upgrade the knowledge and skills of students in stores management, tailoring and leather crafting to provide the requisite human resource capacity to meet the needs of GAF.

She prayed High Command to continue to provide assistance to the School as it strives to become a centre of excellence in Logistics Management and Vocational training.

The Commandant, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Major General (Maj Gen) Bismarck Kwesi Owona in his speech mentioned that, it is the desire of the Military High Command that all Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staffs are given equal and fair opportunities to upgrade and improve on their knowledge and skills in their chosen trades.

Maj Gen Owona further stated that the courses offered at the school are periodically reviewed and upgraded to conform not only with military best practices but also with contemporary corporate practices.

The Commandant emphasized on the infrastructural challenges the school is facing which is leading to the decreased number of prospective applicants desirous of pursuing various courses in the supply chain management, stores, tailoring and leatherworks.

He congratulated the participants and urged them to offer quality and competent services in their respective trades to GAF.

Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Diploma in Fashion Designing will be awarded to the participants by the Accra Technical University (ATTU).
