The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement informing the public of Burkina Faso’s continued ban on the export of cereals and grains.

The affected cereals include rice, millet, maize, sorghum, and white beans (cowpea).

According to the Ministry, Burkina Faso reiterated in a communiqué that the ban remains in force and reminded buyers of grains and cereals from the country to adhere to the directive.

The Ministry has, therefore, advised Ghanaian traders and businesses involved in the importation of these commodities to comply with the restrictions to avoid any sanctions or confiscation of goods.

"The Ministry urges all affected stakeholders to be guided by this development," the statement said.
