Sanitation and Water Resource Minister, Kofi Ardah has said, government will improve sanitation across the country by providing waste treatment plants for every region.Â
According to the Minister, two waste treatment plants would be created at every region of the country to help in the management of waste.Â
The Minister was speaking to Accra-based Citi FM on the sidelines of a Forum to develop a three-year strategic plan aimed at finding solutions to sanitation issues.Â
He said government is committed to ensuring the country develops as far as waste management is concerned.Â
"Waste can be recycled into many things including electricity and fertilizer and we need to take advantage of that", he stated.Â
He added that, all the country needs is a place to keep the waste to be conveyed to the right place and be processed.Â
The treatment plants in each of the 10 regions would go a long way to ensure that waste is managed in the country. Â
