Government has secured a one hundred million euro grant for the nation after joining two other Africa countries for the G20 Summit in Germany.
Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta who joined President Nana Akufo Addo at the G20 Africa Partnership Conference in Germany announced the acquisition of the grant.Â
The move according to the Finance Minister shows confidence in the Ghanaian economy.Â
"There were five countries before we came, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Tunisia and Rwanda and we were nowhere near. But due to the work of President Nana Akufo-Addo and the ministry, the German's decided to get Ghana involved and that is how we have qualified,"he stated.
"It was a real sign of confidence for us..and later three countries including Ghana were selected for a bilateral relationship with an additional hundred million euros for the country,"he explained.
He added that, the grant is a manifestation of what the Nana Addo's government has been doing as part of efforts to transform Ghana's economy for the better.
