The New Patriotic Party Chairman of the Executive Assets Sub-committee of the Transitional Team, Nii Ayikoi Otoo, has publicized that 234 vehicles have not been accounted for by the immediate past National Democratic Congress government.
Â
Per inventory handed over to NPP side of the transition committee, out of the 707 vehicles linked with the office of the president only 406 were found.
Â
In an interview with JOY FM, on March 16 2017, the former Attorney general said, “We were able to identify 67 vehicles not listed. If you deduct 67 from the 301 missing vehicles we still have 234 vehicles which could not be accounted for. So the figure that came from Mr. Arhin’s office that over 200 [cars were missing] is correct,â€
According to the Former Attorney-General, he stated that said, the task force established by government has successfully retrieved 67 government vehicles which were originally not listed by the NDC administration.
He added that, the task force would link with DVLA to alert the police to effect the arrest of persons who would attempt to register the missing vehicles in their names.
