Some students due to graduate from the University of Education Winneba, are threatening to picket at the Education Ministry to demand their certificates.
The students who completed in April 2017, have been affected by a prolonged court battle which on Tuesday led to the closure of the school, following an order by a Winneba High court.
One of them who spoke to JoyNews said attempts, including meetings with the Education Minister to secure the certificates after graduation, have been unsuccessful due to the court action.
The injunction has plunged them into further uncertainty and they believe "the only form of action government would understand is picketing."
The fate of 46,000 students of the school hangs the balance after the authorities decided to close it down.
The school was dragged to court by one Supi Kofi Kwayera, represented by MP for Effutu, Alex Afenyo Markin, challenging the legality of its governing council which's mandate originally expired in 2013.
In the suit, Mr Kwayera sought relieves including a declaration of all decisions and actions by the council since the expiration of its original term, as null and void.
The court on Tuesday granted some of the petitioner's reliefs, pending the determination of substantive case on Friday, June 16.
Subsequent to the court's decision, a stakeholders meeting was held by school authorities and it was agreed that all campuses be shut down since officers working there were all appointed by the university''s council.
"In order not to flout the directive of the court, the Registrar has been directed by the University community at a meeting held today 13th June, 2017 to communcate the closure of all campuses of the University (Winneba, Kumasi, Mampong-Ashanging, and Ajumako)", a statement signed by the school's registrar, Dr. C.Y. Akwaa-Mensa stated.
