The Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced a temporary interruption in water supply for customers in its Amasaman District.

The interruption is due to critical maintenance works at its Nsawam Treatment Plant.

The GWL, in a statement signed by Solace A. M. Akomeah, Communications Manager, Accra West Region, said the maintenance would take place from March 1 to March 7, 2025.

The maintenance, it further added, would lead to a reduction in water production, which would affect supply to some communities.

The affected areas include: Amasaman Township, Abehenease, Toman, Sapeiman, Pobiman, Obeyeyie, Daaresalam, Fise, Amanfrom, and parts of Pokuase, along with nearby communities.

GWL urged residents in those areas

to store enough water for use during the period and assured customers that the maintenance was aimed at improving overall water supply reliability.

“We regret the inconvenience associated with this arrangement,” the statement added.
