John Dramani Mahama, born November 29, 1958 is the current President of Ghana, assuming office since 2012.
Indeed Mahama served as the Vice President from 2009 to 2012, and took office as President on 24 July 2012 following the death of John Atta Mills.
The presidential job requires putting on varied hats at different functions and the 58-year-old seems to take all in his stride good naturedly.
Over the course of four years, this writer observes, Dramani has served as a crane driver, a Hajj escort, oil and gas practitioner, basketball enthusiast, friend of Kenya’s Uhuru Kenyatta, a keen National Democratic Congress (party) man, lover to wife Lordina, arts lover, soldier, welder, Igbo chief, waste disposer, aero man, dancer, beverage lover, family man, motor rider, devoted father, statesman, Black Stars supporter, IT man, Oba or King of Yorubaland, fire fighter, Mahama Paper song lover and very recently Usain Bolt’s signature "To Di World" poser.

Whatever happens in December, this president sure takes his varied roles as man and president quite dedicatedly.Â
