Healthcare providers: NHIA pays over GH¢170m claims up to February 2024

The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) made payment of over 170 million cedis to various categories of healthcare providers across the country.

This disbursement was made on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 was in fulfilment of its mandate to healthcare services in Ghana for disease conditions as prescribed in the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Benefit Package.

The money covers claims submitted for periods up to February 2024.

"This payment covers predominantly claims of January and February for lower tier facilities who form the majority of healthcare providers and up to November 2023 for upper tier facilities and healthcare providers," a statement said.
