There was horror at the Anakful Maximum Security Prison near Cape Coast in the Central Region on Monday after a prisoner cut off  the penis of another for resisiting his attempts to sodomise him.
According to reports, the incident happened at about 9:00am Monday September 5 at Cell One of the prison's Block B.

The victim was given first aid treatment by prison wardens and transferred to the Interberton Hospital in Cape Coast for surgery while the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service started investigations into the matter.
