it appears outgoing Chief Justice (CJ), Georgina Theodora Wood, would not actually miss being the head of the Judicial Service as she goes into retirement.

Madam Theodora Wood, Ghana's longest serving CJ is bowing out after 10 years as CJ and 49 years in public service.

In an interview with JoyNews on the sidelines of a church service at the Ringway Assemblies of God Church to honour her, she said "I don't think I will miss anything. I'm perfectly whiled to live a life of retirement so I'm fine".

According to her, she had no immediate plans about how she would be spending here retirement doing, but would have to sit and think about her next line of engagement.

"I do not know [what I will be doing]. I'll think through it much more carefully than saying something now", she said.

Born on June 8, 1947, Mrs Wood was appointed in 2007  former President J.A. Kufuor's to replace Justice George Kingsley Acquah.

By her appointment, she became the 12th CJ in Ghana's history and the first female to occupy the position

She is expected to be replaced by Supreme Court judge, Justice Sophia Akuffo whose appointment is pending parliamentary approval.
