Outspoken lawyer, Maurice Ampaw has revealed that he is yet to get out of the emotional agony inflicted on him by a former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the late Jake Obetsebi Lamptey.

According to Lawyer Ampaw, the departed NPP Chairman engaged in a sexual relationship with his mother which is the reason why has entirely lost sympathy for the largest opposition party.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Abusua FM, he disclosed that the late Obetsebi Lamptey, who was the then Chief of Staff in the erstwhile Kufour administration, took advantage of the ill health of his father and had his way with Esther Dotse Ampaw now Esther Obetsebi Lamptey.

“True to the rumours, immediately my father died, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey married my stepmother,” he stated.

Lawyer Ampaw claimed after the departure of his father, Esther Dotse Ampaw allegedly stole all his law books and went selling them abroad.

"She didn’t leave me a single law text book to start my career with as a young lawyer. I started fresh from the ground and used my car trunk as my office. My late father Godson Dotse Ampaw was a health minister under the Busia administration and the treatment he suffered under the subsequent NPP government is something I am still bitter about,” he concluded.
