The district court today September 26, 2019, has discharged six out of the seven accused persons facing trial over the alleged killing of two police officers at Kasoa.
This comes after State Prosecutors dropped charges levelled against the six persons.
ASP Sylvestre Asare today informed the court that recent developments have left the state with no choice than to amend the charge sheet.
The six persons who were discharged are Isaac Amissah, Ibrahim Zakaria, Isaac Mensa, Oblitey Commey, Victor Yire and Fatawu Ahmed.
ASP Asare said investigations are ongoing based on recent development and as per the charge sheet, investigations are underway to arrest the accomplices of Eric Duah, the alleged ring leader and three other accomplices.

The three accomplices the police are after having their names as Mike Anim, Theophilus and Kay.
The deceased policemen were personnel of the Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) detachment at Kasoa, and their deaths sparked public outrage
The case has been adjourned to October 9.
