The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Kofi Baah Agyepong, has officially resigned, effective 24 January 2025.

In a resignation letter addressed to President John Dramani Mahama, Agyepong wrote, “I am formally tendering my resignation as the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), effective 24th January, 2025.”

“I wish you continued wisdom and strength in your service to the nation,” while expressing confidence in the agency’s future successes.

Agyepong oversaw important programmes during his time there that addressed youth unemployment and raised the level of entrepreneurial and vocational skills among young Ghanaians. His leadership at YEA was marked by efforts to reduce unemployment levels and create opportunities for young people across the country.

He assured a smooth transition, noting that he remains “within reach on all matters that require urgent attention and consideration.”
