Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has stated that digitisation is critical to bridging the poverty gap in the country.
He said there isn’t a vast difference between technology and economic development.
He described digitisation as an instrument that seeks to improve the employment and financial sector of every country.
“The poverty gap has always been a technological gap,” he said.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah indicated that if people pay a critical look at the industrial revolutions, they would realise that without technology and digitisation, economic growth will move at a snail’s pace.
He told Peace FM's Kokrokoo on Thursday, November 4, 2021 that any individual who thinks that the Vice President’s speech at the Ashesi University is only technology does not understand the role of technology in economic transformation.
