The United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) has appointed former President John Agyekum Kufuor a Senior Grand Warden.
Mr Kufuor's appointment was announced on Wednesday at the Annual Investiture of UGLE presided over by the Duke of Kent, Prince Edward, who is the Grand Master of UGLE.

By this appointment, former President Kufuor's will assume the title, Right Worshipful Brother (RW Bro) instead of Very Worshipful Brother (VW Bro).
UGLE is the governing body for the majority of freemasons within England and Wales with lodges in other, predominantly ex-British Empire and Commonwealth countries outside the United Kingdom.
With the Freemason's Hall in London as its headquarters, the Grand Lodge, as it is commonly referred to, has over 6,800 Lodges with over a 200,000 members.
Though it was officially constituted in 1813, it claims to be the oldest Grand Lodge in the world, by descent from the first Grand Lodge formed in London in 1717.
