Popular media personality, Kwame Sefa Kayi, has been appointed Board Member of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).

The broadcast journalist currently hosts "Kokrokoo", a morning show of local language radio station, Peace FM.

Prior to this appointment, the Chairman General was rumoured to have been tipped for an appointment as either the Minister of Information or Director of Communication at the Presidency, a piece of news he denied last year.

According to him, they were just rumours that circulated way back in 2016 and should be disregarded.

Mr Kayi has several years of experience in radio broadcasting and communication.

The NPA regulates the petroleum downstream industry in Ghana.

The NPA Board is chaired by Joe Addo-Yobo and has Manuel Sawyyerr Esq., Clement Osei Amoako, Bernard Owusu, and Dr Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah as members.

Other members are Dr Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, CEO of NPA, and Madam Diana Mogre.
