Keta Senior High and Technical School (Ketasco) is coming against two favourites of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC) and Prempeh College in the grand finale of the popular contest today.
But the Ketasco, who are underdogs in this competition, have demonstrated every step of the way that they determined to win coveted trophy for the first time for the Volta Region.
Three schools have booked their places at the grand finale of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) on Friday.
The ‘Eagles from the Volta Region’ on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, made history by becoming the first SHS from the region to qualify for the grand finale of the NSMQ.

The three contestants for the school – Francisca Lamini, Senyo Bright Gadzo and the super substitute, James Lutterodt – made Ketasco proud when they edged out Wesley Girls’ High School (Wey Gey Hey) and Tamale Senior High School (Tamasco).
Ketasco scored 53 points, as against 35 by Wesley Girls and 31 by Tamasco.
Since 2016, the school with the motto: ‘Now or Never’ (Dzo Lali), carved out of an attribute of the eagle, has ended its journey at the semi-finals.
