The Ghana Police Service has apprehended a suspect, Imarana Abdulai Gomda, for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
The arrest took place at the Datoyili barrier in Tamale on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
During the arrest, officers retrieved two SMG rifles, six rounds of 9MM ammunition, and two empty magazines from him.
The suspect is currently in custody and is assisting the Police with their investigations.
