The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has hailed former President Mahama over his decision to heed to the calls from the ranks and file of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the flagbearership position.
The NDC MP said what former President Maham has done is exactly the voice of the people and the voice of the people is the voice of God.
Former President Mahama on Thursday declared his intentions to contest on the ticket on the NDC flagbearership in their upcoming presidential primaries.
Former Ambassador to the United States of America Daniel Ohene Agyekum, presented the letter of intent at the party's Headquarters in Accra.
Reacting to the declaration on his facebook page on Thursday, the North Tongu MP said “defining Moment. Thank you John Mahama for the declarationâ€.
Appreciating the move in Latin Language, Mr. Ablakwa said “Vox Populi, Vox Dei - the voice of the people is indeed the voice of Godâ€.
“May the Lord guide your path and crown your efforts with success for it is He who chooses leadersâ€, he added.
