The Ghana Armed Forces, will tonight hold a vigil for late Captain Maxwell Mahama who was lynched by residents of Denkyira Obuase last week.
According to Commander Michael Larbi of the Public Relations Unit of the Ghana Armed Forces, preparations are far advanced for the vigil.
"We are at the final stages of preparations for the vigil tonight ahead of the state burial which would be held tomorrow,"he told Joy News.
He added that, the outfit has received maximum support from the family of the late Mahama and government to ensure the vigil and subsequent events are held successfully.
The Military he said would ensure a befitting burial for the lost soldier.
The late Mahama was mistaken for an armed robber and killed by residents of Denkyira and more than 40 persons have since been arrested in connection with his death.
