A post from former Gender Minister Nana Oye Lithur wishing her husband Tony Lithur on social media has since gone viral as Ghana joins some countries in the world today to mark Father's Day.
Several social media fanatics are sharing the post from Nana Oye Lithur’s official twitter handle wishing Tony Lithur a happy Father’s Day irrespective of the recent report of a possible divorce petition filed at the Accra High Court by Tony Lithur against Nana Oye Lithur.
In a petition dated May 2, 2018, which was filed at a High Court in Accra, revealed that their marriage had broken down beyond repair and his continuous stay in the marriage would only cause him pain.
Tony Lithur said Nana Oye Lithur cheated on him without any regard for his ‘sensibilities’, and also she constantly accuses him of cheating on her even if she just sees him talking with another lady or working with another lady.
The petition added that one of the men who is allegedly flirting with Nana Oye Lithur is one James Yankah.
But in an initial response several hours after the news broke, Nana Oye Lithur has said the wild allegations highlighted by her husband Tony Lithur are unfortunate and can’t be true.
“Everyone who knows me and everything I stand for knows that the unfortunate allegations against me cannot be true.â€
The twitter post from Nana Oye Lithur reads "The most special Father's Day greetings to Capo Tony Lithur".
However, Prime News Ghana's close observation of Nana Oye Lithur's twitter post wishing Tony Lithur a happy Father's Day indicates that the post was dated June 18, 2017.
And to all my other sons, male friends and colleagues I wish you all a real BIG fantabulous Happy #FathersDay pic.twitter.com/MHCSn6Op8P
