The National Democratic Congress which is the biggest opposition party in Ghana will go to the polls today to elect its executives who will steer the affairs of the party ahead of the 2020 elections.
Two years after a humiliating defeat, the NDC have another opportunity to elect executives who will rescue power from the incumbent NPP government.
That process begins today at Trade Fair center in Accra. Over 9,000 delegates will converge in their party paraphernalia with the hope of changing the fortunes of the party entirely in the 2020 elections.
This process will be completed with the election for their presidential candidate which will be done later.
66 candidates are vying for various positions in the party with an aim to help the NDC recover and rescue power come 2020.
Of all the places, two- the National Chairman as well as the General Secretary positions- are most crucial positions to be contested.
