Adisadel College stands a chance of claiming the trophy for the 2018 National Science and Maths Quiz as it is the first school to qualify for the Final stage of this year's edition of quiz competition.
 The contest, one of the toughest so far, saw three giant schools from the Central Region; Adisadel College, Mfantsipim School, and Ghana National College put up an impressive performance.
Mfantsipim School and Adisadel College began on highly competitive not as they drew in the first round.
The Botwe boys were, however, unable to beat their competitors especially in the last three rounds of the contest.
Adisadel College won with 48 points, while Mfantsipim School scored 44 points and Ghana National College trailed with 26 points.
With the introduction of the GCB Bank's Money Zone, each point of the competing schools at the semi-final stage is worth Ten Ghana Cedis(GHS10), which will be paid out to each of the three contestants and their teacher.
The Semi-Finals stage of the competition is ongoing today, Monday, July 2, 2018, with two more contests to go.
For the second contest of the Semi-final stage, Mawuli School will clash with Keta SHTS and St Peter's SHS, and for the third contest, West Africa SHS will compete with Krobo Girls' SHS and defending Champions Prempeh College to qualify for the Grand finale.
The Grand Finale of the NSMQ 2018 will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018.
