The Greater Accra Regional Police command has denied media reports that the Ayawaso West La Baweleshie Presby polling station shooting, has resulted in the death of one person.
The PRO for the Regional command, DSP Afia Tenge said, “there's some information going out that some 8 people are dead, but that is false. 6 people have sustained some injuries, but the hospital says they are well.â€
According to her, "the incident took place a distance away from the polling station and we have personnel already deployed at the stations. Once the incident occurred, a call was made for reinforcements."
