Today's by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency has been coupled with pockets of violence leading to the death of one person and many others injured.
Footages from the Ayawaso West Wuogon La Baweleshie Presby polling station showed how some suspected security personnel were seen beating and intimidating some voters who are there to exercise their franchise.
Some leading members of the NDC including MP for Ningo-Prampam, Sam George has been captured being beaten by the security personnel.
The NDC after what they described as an attack on them by the NPP, in efforts to intimidate them, have withdrawn from the by-election.

The party Chairman said the attacks are deliberate efforts by the NPP to intimidate them, he also disclosed that they have lost confidence in the security agencies to protect them.
