The CEO of mining contracting company, BCM Ghana Limited (BCM), Paul list is being accused of assault for pointing a gun at 30-year-old office assistant Isaac Dwomoh.
Isaac reported to the cantonments police on Jan 11, 2022.
The Police has since then not been successful in their quest to arrest the expatriate.
In their last attempt to arrest the Australian, a team led by the investigator on the case was sent to his office but they were not allowed entry with the excuse he was not around.
Police then said they will go for a court warrant to be able to arrest all who stand in their way in their quest to get Mr List to face the law.
This is not the first time Mr List is being investigated in connection with an assault case.
In July 2021, he faced assault charges after allegedly beating up an employee who has worked for the company for nearly 30 years.
He was accused of unleashing his fury on 62-year-old Jonathan Adongo, leaving him with ear, shoulder and hip injuries. According to the victim, Mr List had been on an agenda to access vital company files that would aid his quest to take over the company established with the other shareholder of BCM.
Mr Jonathan Adongo, the Administration Manager and Company Secretary of BCM, had declined to hand over his personal phones and laptop after Mr List attempted to unlawfully confiscate the items.
Mr Adongo’s face subsequently became a punching bag for Mr List as he forcibly seized the laptop. The incident occurred at about 1 pm on Sunday, June 13, at the main office of BCM located at Labone, Accra.
Mr Adongo subsequently reported the matter to the Cantonment Police Station on the same day, and he was issued with a medical form to seek treatment.
The case was subsequently transferred to the Accra regional office and since August 2021 virtually nothing had been done about it.
