Prez Akufo-Addo appoints Abu Ramadan as deputy NADMO boss

 President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed immediate past Youth Organiser of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan, as Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
 
Few days ahead of the just ended 2016 general elections, Youth Organiser of the People's National Convention (PNC), Abu Ramadan officially resigned from the party to join the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, he had officially sent communication to the PNC to inform them of his resignation and was only waiting for the acting General Secretary of the NPP, John Boadu to confirm his membership.

However, in a letter signed by President of Ghana Nana Akufo Addo informing Mr. Abu Ramadan of his appointment read;
 
“Pursuant to Section 20(1) of the national Disaster Management organisation Act, 2016 (Act 927), I hereby appoint you to act as a Deputy Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing council of the Organisation, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
 
I take this opportunity to congratulate you formally on your appointment.
Kindly indicate your acceptance or otherwise of this appointment, within 14 days upon receipt of this letter. Thank you".
