The Ghana Education Service says Senior High School students will report to school today Friday, January 3, 2025.
This comes amidst concerns raised by the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) regarding unresolved financial issues.
However, in a press release on January 2, 2025, by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of the Public Relations Unit of the Service the GES reiterated that the 2024/25 academic calendar remains unchanged.
“SHS students are expected to report back to school on January 3rd, 2025, while primary and Junior High Schools will reopen on January 8th, 2025,"
The Service also announced that the primary and Junior High Schools will reopen on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
The statement indicated that the leadership of the Service was engaging with the Ministry of Education to resolve the concerns of the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools.
