President Akufo-Addo has revoked the appointment of Anna Naa Adukwei Addo as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Tema West Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra region.
Concurrently, the President has nominated Felicia Edem Attipoe as the successor to the recently vacated position.
Felicia Edem Attipoe is Ghana’s first female aircraft marshaller and is known for producing the popular Ghanaian comedy show, “Key Soap Concert Party”, in the mid-1990s and early 2000s.
The appointment of Madam Felicia was announced in a letter dated Wednesday, April 24, 2024, and signed by the Minister-Designate for the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development, Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah. The decision was based on Article 243 (1) of the Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act 2016 (Act 936).
