Chairperson of the ELectoral Commission Charlotte Osei has accused her subordinate Amadu Sulley of voter fraud, in a response to allegations of financial misappropriation.

Confusion has been simmering at the commission for the past few days, with accusations and counter accusations of financial impropriety being leveled by the staff against each other. There's currently a petition against Mrs. Osei for her to be impeached by some unnamed staff of the EC.

But in a statement in her defense, Mrs. Osei not only dismissed the allegations as frivolous, but mentioned other colleagues, including Deputy Commissioner Mr. Sulley of engaged in fraud. " The deputy Chairperson operations has persistently instructed officials to carry out illegal vote transfers on the voter management system in clear breach of the law and operational policies of the commission.

Such actions, she explained, have major implications for the integrity of the work of the commission and constitute abuse of office.
Meanwhile, primenews sources at the EC say the frosty relationship is gradually taking a foothold at the base of the commission, with sharp divisions within workers who hitherto worked in harmony.
