The General Secretary of the NDC, has dared The NPP to investigate claims by its Northern Regional Chairman, Bugri Naabu, that Gender Minister Otiko Djaba had a hand in the death of Adams Mahama, NPPs Upper East Regional Chairman.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the feud between Mr Naabu and Ms Djaba indicated he(Mr Naabu) was blatantly lying when he said President John Mahama attempted to bribe him into ditching the NPP.

In the build-up to the 2016 election, the NPP said, Mr. Naabu was offered a brand new V6 Mitsubishi, a brand New V8 Land Cruiser and GHc 3.3 million to resign from the NPP and paint the NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo as a dictator and damage him “beyond electability.”

Speaking on Rainbow Radio, Johnson Asiedu Nketia said the NPP described Bugri Naabu then, as someone who speaks the truth and so if he has come out to allege that Otiko Djaba had a hand in the death of Adams Mahama, why should people doubt his allegation?

"The NPP should come out and deny the allegation by Bugri Naabu. Is he no longer their hero? They revered him in 2016 after accusing Mahama of bribing him.’’

On Otiko Djaba he said, “Some individuals warned that the Gender Minister’s appointment was a bad choice because of her indisciplined and quick temper but all these things were ignored and so if she is exhibiting her traits today, why should we be surprised”?
