Bawumia takes break from campaign ahead of NPP 2024 manifesto launch

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has temporarily suspended his constituency campaign tour ahead of the December 7 election.

The suspension is to allow Dr Bawumia to prepare for the NPP manifesto launch on Sunday, August 18.

A statement signed by the Communication Director of the Bawumia campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye noted the tour will resume immediately after the launch.

The event will take place at Takoradi in the Western region.

Meanwhile, the NPP leadership has appointed an 11-member committee to oversee the planning and execution of the manifesto launch.

The committee is chaired by Madam Oboshie Sai-Cofie and includes Henry Nana Boakye, Ms Abena Asante, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Fati Abubakar, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, among others.
