Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has arrived from the United Kingdom where he had been for a 12-day medical leave.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, who touched down from British Airways Flight was met by the President Nana Akufo-Addo, and the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in a blue suit, and flanked by his wife Samira Bawumia, was embraced by the President and the First Lady before he entered a car to the VVIP Lounge, where several dignitaries and members of the media had converged for his arrival.
The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was flown out on Friday, January 19 upon the advice of his doctors after he fell ill after reporting to work.
On Saturday, January 27, footage of him and his wife walking on the street pop up on the internet.

Before the video surfaced, Minister of Information Mustapha Hamid on news analysis show Newsfile on JoyFM assured the public the Vice President was recovering and will soon return to the country in no time.
Samira Bawumia, the wife of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday, January 25, 2018, broke her silence on the issue of her husband's health, saying, he is doing well and will be returning to work soon.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, January 25, 2018, the Second lady who is in the UK with her husband said: “My Husband Bawumia and I are grateful to all Ghanaians and well-wishers from across the world for the prayers, support and best wishes. He’s doing very well and we thank Allah for His grace. He looks forward to returning to work soonâ€.
