Incumbent NDC give away five seats to NPP in the Upper West

According to results yet to be confirmed by the EC, The ruling National Democratic Congress has lost five seats in the Upper West Regions in the 2016 elections.

The National Democratic Congress clinched all eleven seats in the Upper West during to the 2012 general elections.

The National Democratic Congress fatalities in the Upper West include Member of Parliament for Sisala East, Aligator Suleman, Sisala West, Alhaji Amidu Suleman, who doubles as the Upper West Regional Minister; and Wa East, Dr Seidu Danaa who is also the Minister of Chieftaincy.

Member of Parliament of Nandom Dr Benjamin Kumbuor did not to seek re-election and his successor Richard Kuuire lost while the incumbent for Lawra, Samson Abu lost as an independent candidate to the NPP’s Anthony Abayifa Karbo.
