A member of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Hayford Osei Bempah has accused Minority leader of Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu who doubles as Member of Parliament for Suame constituency in the Ashanti Region as a total failure, adding the constituency has never benefited from him since becoming an MP.

Osei Bempah who plans contesting the minority leader as an independent candidate in the upcoming parliamentary polls argues that Kyei Mensah Bonsu has done little for the constituency given how long he has been at post.

Speaking on Abusua FM, Mr. Bempong told host Kwame Adinkra that he will contest Kyei Mensah Bonsu in the December polls if he realises the minority leader has refused implementing key measures that will help presidential candidate Akufo Addo to emerge victorious.

“Hon. Osei Kyei Mensa Bonsu has not performed well as MP, Suame constituency has lost faith in him”

He added that irrespective of his decision to contest Kyei Mensah-Bonsu as an independent candidate, he still bears a valid member ID card of the New Patriotic Party.

“I am still a card bearing member of the NPP although I will be contesting the minority leader in December”.

“I will work hard for Nana Addo’s presidency in 2017”, the parliamentary candidate added.
