President John Mahama has submitted his first set of deputy ministerial nominations to Parliament today February 5, 2025.
The nominations, submitted to the Speaker of Parliament in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution, include 13 individuals for critical portfolios in Finance, Energy, Defence, Agriculture, Roads, Lands and Justice.
The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the Acting Spokesperson of President Mahama, Felix Kwakye Ofosu.
Constitutional Lawyer, Justice Srem Sai has been nominated as Deputy Minister for Justice and Attorney-General while Ayawaso West Wuogon MP, John Dumelo gets the position of Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Thomas Nyarko Ampem has been nominated as Deputy Finance Minister-designate.
The President has also nominated Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba as Minister of State, Public Sector Reforms.
