John Mahama, the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has assured the reorganisation of landing beach committees to ensure non-partisan distribution of premix fuel and fishing inputs.

He said during the NDC Administration the committees received fuel and outboard motors, which they made available to fishermen in need, however, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) handed the inputs to party executives.

Mr Mahama, during a community engagement at Kpando in the Volta Region, said the NDC would also provide a good landing beach at Kpando Torkor to enable the ferry to dock properly.

The Party had provided the Kpando Supply System, which expanded storage, ability to pump and distribution of water by six million litres for the constituents, he said.

It also provided a brand-new ferry to connect Kpando Torkor and Amankwatonu to improve the economic activity of the fishing and trading communities.

He said the NDC also provided asphalted roads in Kpando because the Party invested in projects that would benefit generations.

Mr Mahama said the Women’s Development Bank the Party would establish would provide support for women to trade since empowering women translated into a developed society.

He said the NDC would improve the free Senior High School (SHS) by abolishing the double track system to ensure uniformity of education.

The school feeding in second cycle institutions would be decentralised where monies would be given to headmasters and bursars to buy produce from local producers to improve the local economies.

He said the Kpando Constituency had stood behind the NDC and urged them to vote massively for the Party in both the parliamentary and presidential elections.

Mr Sebastian Deh, the Kpando Constituency Parliamentary Candidate, said Mr Mahama had done a lot for the constituency and deserved a win to come back to develop it the more.

He called on the electorate to vote for him and Mr Mahama on December 7, 2024.
