The 2024 parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Tema Central, Ebi Bright, has been nominated as the new Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) in the Greater Accra Region.
Her nomination, announced in line with Article 243 of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended by the Local Governance (Amendment) Act, 2017, is currently pending approval by the Tema Metropolitan Assembly.
This was contained in a letter dated April 23, 2025 signed by Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama and the Local Government Minister, Ahmed Ibrahim.
Abdulai Mahmud has also been appointed as DCE for Bole Bamboi in the Savannah Region, Masud Musah Ayaaba Thomas as DCE for Atebubu-Amantin in the Bono East Region.
28 other persons have been nominated for various districts in Greater Accra including Ignatius Godfred Dordoe as DCE for Shai Osudoku and Raphael Uriel Nartey for Kpone Katamanso.
