The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has suspended six executives in the Pusiga constituency of the Upper East Region over alleged misconduct.

They have been asked to step aside, pending an appearance before the Regional Disciplinary Committee.

This was communicated in a letter signed by Upper East Regional NPP Chairman, Anthony Namoo, Esq.

The suspended executives include Awinimi Emmanuel – Constituency Communication Officer, Belingumse Sawuda – 2nd Vice Chairman, Haruna Salam – Assistant Secretary, Kazussah Jacob – Treasurer, Salifu Ibn Adam – Elections and Research Officer, and Iddrisu Kadiri – Deputy Nasara Coordinator.

Mr. Awinimi confirmed the development in an interview with Accra-based Citi News but stated that their offenses are yet to be communicated.

“When I opened the letter, they said they had suspended me as Communication Officer of the party in the constituency and that the Regional Disciplinary Committee will invite me. I said okay. So I took my letter. That is all I can say,” he said.
