It was an atmosphere of thankfulness, jubilation and ecstasy at the Accra International Conference Center (ICC)  Thursday when the NPP rallied its highest ranking executives to mark a year since the party triumphantly kicked the Mahama led NDC out of the Flagstaff house.

In what has now become a popular Ghanaian joke, the NPP gained 5,697,093 representing 53.80 percent of total valid votes. The NDC polled 4,701,162, votes, representing 44.0 percent in the December 7, 2016, elections.

President Nana Akufo-Addo led the party members, most of whom we clad in white to signify victory, to sing praises and worship songs at the event held under the theme ‘Thanking the Lord who won the battle for Ghana.’

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was right beside the President as the packed auditorium exploded with joy and responded with elation to party slogans and NPP themed election music.

Pictures from the event.
