Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the 2024 running mate to former President Mahama, will embark on a three-day campaign tour of the Western Region starting Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

The tour is part of the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) strategy to engage key stakeholders and the electorate ahead of the December general elections.

During the tour, Prof Opoku-Agyemang will engage in a series of market visits, meet with chiefs, and interact with other important stakeholders across selected constituencies in the region.

On the first day of her campaign, she is scheduled to visit Tarkwa Nsuaem, Ahanta West, and Mpohor.

The second day will see her moving to the Shama and Essikadu-Ketan constituencies, ending the day in Sekondi.

The final day of the tour will include stops at Takoradi, Effia, and Kwesimintsim.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang, who is poised to become Ghana's first female Vice President, will be accompanied by her campaign team, regional party leaders, and other distinguished personalities from the Western Region.

The tour is expected to strengthen her visibility in the region and consolidate support for the NDC ahead of the upcoming elections.

This was contained in a statement signed by Richard Kirk-Mensah, the NDC's Western Regional Communication Officer.
