Tepa will have its own jewelry village in my second term - Mahama

John Dramani Mahama still on his 4-day political tour of the Ashanti Region has assured the people of the region of a jewelry village.

At Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North District of the Ashanti Region, President Mahama noted, the region deserved to have a gold processing plant to turn gold nuggets to wearable jewelry which folks can use to adorn their bodies.

He pledged to situate a jewelry village at Tepa to help transform the area to a notable one adding his second term will see development of areas with a comparative advantage.

Nana Adusei Ampeng also pledged a 40 acre land for the situation of the jewelry village. President Mahama mentioned the University of Science and Technology’s Jewelry Unit as partners in the proposed project.

It emerged all roads under the Cocoa Roads Project in the area has been completed as was the completion of a 60-bed hospital.
