The Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has adjourned parliamentary proceedings indefinitely amid vacant seats controversy.
Bagbin informing the House said even though they have the numbers to transact business, the House did not have the numbers to take decisions.
"We have quorum to transact business but don't have numbers to take decisions," he said.
This followed an earlier walkout by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) side a disagreement about sitting arrangements as to which side was to occupy the Majority and Minority sides of the House.
Bagbin’s decision not to fully address the Supreme Court’s communication leaves the issue of the vacant seats unresolved for now, adding to the uncertainty surrounding parliamentary proceedings.
With Parliament adjourned indefinitely, the next steps remain unclear as both parties await further direction
