Vote fixing was the order of the day during the just ended National Delegates Conference of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the Koforidua Technical University in the Eastern Region.
This was because, prior to the voting and declaration of the results by the Electoral Commission (EC), several delegates and supporter were able to predict who was going to win which position.
Most of the predictions came to pass as their favourites, especially, the National Chairmanship race, the National Women’s Organizer, the General Secretary, the National Organizer and the National Youth Organizer, won their respective positions.
These created suspicions that the delegates decisions were influenced by money since allegations of vote buying was made at the conference.
In the video below, Gabriel Kesse-Yeboah, popularly known as “1 Gabyâ€, who was disqualified from contesting the Fanteakwa Constituency Secretary of the party, predicted who will win what position during an interview with Prime News Ghana ahead of the elections and all his predictions came to pass.
In his predictions, Mr Freddie Blay was going to win the Chairmanship, Rita Talata Asobayiri was going to win the 1st Vice Chairperson, John Boadu was going to win the General Secretary and Sammy Awuku for the National Organizer. The rest were Abankwah Yeboah for National Treasurer, Henry Nana Boakye for the National Youth Organizer and Kate Gyamfua for the National Women’s Organizer, and they all came to pass.
