Ghanaian actress and producer Yvonne Nelson has revealed her plans to collaborate with Think Tank IMANI Ghana for a second protest over the recent erratic power outages in the country.
In a post dated April 22, 2024, on Twitter, the actress indicated that she has reached out to Imani Ghana, a civil society group to come on board for a fresh demonstration.
She revealed that the civil society group partnered with her in 2015 to stage the first ‘dumsor’ protest under the NDC administration.
“Imani Ghana, can we organize another vigil? Ive been waiting for you to reach out like you did years back. ( your team made our demo a success ) Im reaching out myself. The NPP and its leadership @NAkufoAddo have taken Ghanaians for granted . #DUMSORMUSTSTOP“.

The call for action comes amidst ongoing power outages that have disrupted daily activities of citizens.
Having previously led a protest against power outages in 2015 during the tenure of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) under John Dramani Mahama, Nelson remains vocal about the need for a solution to the dumsor crisis.
