The 2016/2017 National women’s league was launched yesterday at the headquarters of the Ghana football Association.

The league is scheduled to kick off on the 29th of April at all league centres in both the Northern and the southern zone.

Head of the Women’s league board Learnier Addy entreated all stakeholders of Women’s football to abide by the rules and regulations.

“I believe that we as stakeholders will be proud at the end and say we have done a good job when we play to the rules of the game, we can also make our brand attractive by taking out hooliganism and things that will not help us promote our women”.

This will be the 5th edition of the league since its inception in 2013.

The last title was won by Ampem Darkoa Ladies who were winners of the Northern zone after they defeated Hasaacas Ladies who also won the Southern Zone in the final play-offs.
